The Arkansas Bootlegger is held each fall in northern Arkansas to benefit the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, a facility for Big Cat lifetime rescue.

The route varies from year to year, but covers some of the best dual sport terrain in the mid-west including long stretches of two-track, rocky over-looks like Lover’s Leap, and Donny’s Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch.

Past Bootlegger event details and more photos can be found on

2017 Arkansas Bootlegger

The Bootlegger navigates the crisscross web of dirt roads in northern Arkansas.   Green is day 1, purple is day 2, and day 3 is red for the 2017 event.

More information about Turpentine Creek and event registration can be found at

Some rural locations wake to the crow of roosters or the bellow of cattle.  If you camp at the Bootlegger you’ll awake to the growl of Big Cats!  (Turn up your volume)

We enjoyed the 2017 event and will be back again.  Thanks to the organizers for putting on a great ride.
